We noticed that Rebecca is doing a fantastic job creating a sustainable home, so we asked her to share with us her top zero-waste tips for eco-friendly living. We hope you find her advice as useful as we did!
What influenced you to start creating a sustainable home?
The media highlighting environmental issues made me aware that I needed to try harder to contribute towards positive change. Also having children has heightened my sense of the need to protect the world they’ll inherit.
What were the first changes that you made when cutting plastic waste from your home?
Buying as many refillable products as possible, swapping to soap bars where I can, and no longer buying cling film!
Can you give a sustainable tip or plastic-free swap?
It’s worth trying a few shampoo bars until you find one that works for you, but if you prefer liquid then look for refill options. Also beeswax food wraps are a great alternative to clingfilm.
What is your favourite Bower Collective product and why?
Tricky! I basically love all the own brand Bower Collective refill pouches, but also the Bramley shampoo and conditioner ones because that’s my favourite brand for hair care. Though I’m also really enjoying the EarthKind hair care soap bars.
