We created The Bower Standard to ensure that we have sourced Earth’s best products from excellent suppliers that share our values. 

The Bower Standard breaks down as follows:

Sustainable
Sustainability is at the heart of the Bower mission. All of our products and suppliers are carefully vetted to ensure they meet our criteria, which are as follows:

  1. Waste reduction: Bower products help our customers reduce waste. Specifically plastic waste. Bower products aim where possible to make use of reusable and refillable packaging. 

  2. Low carbon: our suppliers must demonstrate that they do everything to reduce carbon impact in their operations and supply chain, and the local nature of our suppliers reflects that.

  3. Ethical: our suppliers must have transparent practices and supply chains that ensure they meet the Ethical Trade Initiative base code and can prove that all of their products are cruelty-free and never tested on animals. Most of our products are Vegan except for those that contain beeswax where it is clearly stated on the product page. 

  4. Non-toxic: as we are a specialist in supplying natural products, our suppliers must clearly state that their ingredients are non-toxic and ethically sourced. Look good, feel good
Our products have all been rigorously tested by an expert panel to ensure that they are of the highest quality and that they make you look and feel great. As stated above, our products are non-toxic, chemical-free, plant-based and not tested on animals. All of our products are clearly labelled on their relevant detail page. 

Effective
Our products do the job as well, if not better than non-sustainable alternatives. They have been rigorously tested and ultimately backed in the market by happy customers! 

Transparency
We will always be open and honest - if a product is not entirely plastic-free, which many aren’t, we will tell you why and what you can do with the excess packaging.
