We asked Shell to share with us her journey towards creating a sustainable home. We hope you find her advice as useful as we did! What influenced you to start creating a sustainable home?
My children and wanting to protect the planet for their futures. Also for ourselves as we live in Cornwall we see the affects over use of plastic have on our oceans so it’s very close to our heart.
What were the first changes that you made when cutting plastic waste from your home?
I imagine the first thing would be going back a few years ago using reusable shopping bags to collect our shopping and groceries.
Can you give a sustainable tip or plastic-free swap?
The kids love the bamboo straws rather than plastic ones as they each have their own colour! Also we all swapped a while ago to recyclable toothbrushes.
What is your favourite Bower Collective product and why?
I love so many of them but probably the hand sanitiser and laundry products as they help cut the plastic in our household the most.
